As I write this the moon is partially eclipsing the sun on the first day of the month of spring here in the southern hemisphere.
Spring is the season of new beginnings and in Cape Town there are many signs that the season are changing: bright green, new leaves emerge, wild flowers bloom in all sorts of colours and shapes, whales visit our shores, and the days are getting longer.
Some believe that “this eclipse today is about new beginnings regarding work, attention to details, fitness, health regimes, and daily routines. New beginnings can come from frustrating realizations, disillusionment, and reality checks. We may be wrestling with our expectations now.” (more detailed astrological interpretation). This is also the third of four eclipses this year, with the last one also taking place this month on 16 September.
All ‘signs’ seem to indicate that this month may be your month for big changes.
Whatever your beliefs around astrology or signs from the universe, I’d like to invite you to ask yourself:
- What can you let go?
- What seeds have you been planting which are starting to emerge?
- How can you mindfully nurture and protect to these new and still fragile ‘seedlings’?
